SANTA ANA, Calif. (December 17, 2009) Corinthian Colleges, Inc. (CCi), parent company of Everest Universities, Everest Colleges and Everest Institutes, has signed an agreement with Massage Envy to offer conditional employment to Everest Massage Therapy graduates in the chain’s clinics. Under the terms of the agreement, Everest will incorporate Massage Envy’s requirements into the curriculum, and in turn, Massage Envy will grant interviews to all Everest Massage Therapy graduates who apply to work in one of the clinics.

“With more than 600 clinics in 42 states, this is clearly an exciting opportunity for our schools and students,” said Wendy Cullen, CCi’s VP of employer development. “Not only is joining Massage Envy a great opportunity for our graduates, Massage Envy is also a committed partner. They sit on our national advisory council and are frequent participants in community events such as campus job fairs. We are proud of our most important contribution to the partnership: well-trained, professional massage therapists whose skills underscore the quality of our programs.”

“We, at Massage Envy, have always been impressed with the quality of graduates from Everest Colleges,” says CG Funk, Massage Envy’s vice president of industry relations and product development.

Funk was instrumental in working with CCi’s corporate massage education team to enhance current curriculum, which meets Massage Envy’s strict guidelines for massage therapist staff members. Massage Envy currently employs 16,000 therapists and projects hiring over 2,000 massage therapists in 2010.

According to Cullen, similar partnerships and strategic alliances will be added to CCi’s portfolio in the future. “We are well-positioned to partner on a national level. Over the past few years we have standardized our curriculum and policies and we are poised to leverage our size and scope to the advantage of our students, business partners and company.”

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (Dec. 7, 2009) – Everest Institute announced today that it will help fight hunger this holiday season by hosting a food drive beginning Dec. 17, and partnering with Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes, the leading charitable source of emergency food assistance in Kalamazoo County.

Everest Institute, located at 5177 W. Main Street, will accept non-perishable food items that will be donated to needy families via Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes. Items can be dropped off at the campus Dec. 17-18 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., and Dec. 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This event will correspond with Everest’s holiday open house Dec. 19 at 10 a.m., where high school students and their families will be able to participate in the charity by helping staff organize and pack donated items. By participating, students will also receive community service credit.

At the open house, prospective students will also be able to learn more about Everest and its programs, which include medical assisting, dental assisting, massage therapy, pharmacy technician, medical administrative assisting and business accounting. There will be demonstrations from current Everest students, a tour of the campus and an explanation of different programs from instructors.

Everest launches mobile website optimized for more than just smart phones.

SANTA ANA, Calif. (November 30, 2009) – Now mobile visitors to Everest’s website can access campus and course information or begin the enrollment process to become a student from virtually any web-enabled cell phone, smart phone or other mobile Internet device.

With the launch of its mobile-optimized version of the website, http://m.everest.edu/, visitors can locate a nearby campus complete with map links and directions, review career training programs, check out online classes, see financial aid options, view frequently asked questions, request more information, as well as learn about student services, student resources, accreditation information, and the admissions and enrollment processes. There’s even a “Call Us Now,” option that integrates the mobile browser with the user’s phone’s dialer, allowing for easy, safe dialing.

“We noticed that over the past 12 months, mobile traffic has been the fastest growing segment of our web properties,” said Teresa M. O’Sullivan, Vice President of Marketing. “People want information right at their fingertips. We felt it was important to provide an excellent mobile browsing experience for these users.”

When researching mobile website options, Everest developers felt it was important to optimize for more than just the smart phone device. They tested for a variety of mobile handsets and non-standard Internet devices in an effort to make the mobile browser experience much more user friendly and to better serve the schools’ increasing mobile traffic.

“It’s all about the engaging our mobile visitors and creating a positive mobile user experience,” said O’Sullivan.
