To support yourself while in school, you may need to find a job you can work around your class schedule. Businesses that often offer flexible or part-time schedules include:

•    Restaurants (hosting, waiting, bussing)
•    Retail (cashiers, stocking, call centers, seasonal jobs)
•    Service companies (customer support)

These businesses often need workers during off-hours, such as evenings and weekends. Many of these jobs are entry-level, requiring little or no experience.

You can look for flexible jobs:

•    In newspaper classified sections
•    On Internet job sites like Monster.com and Craigslist
•    By going directly to local businesses, especially restaurants and retail stores
