PITTSBURGH, Penn. – (September 16, 2010) – Everest Institute – Pittsburgh announced that it has added massage therapy to its course offering. The school has begun enrolling students in the program, which takes approximately nine months to complete.
The program provides students with the tools, ethics and basic knowledge to be a massage therapist. Through instruction and hands-on training, students learn and develop a number of therapeutic techniques for relaxation and stress reduction as well as methods for treating neck, back and sciatic pain and muscle spasms. Students also gain an understanding of anatomy, physiology, the role and importance of exercise programs, and more.
“Career opportunities for massage therapists in Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas are expected to steadily grow over the next few years,” said Scott Behmer, Everest Institute – Pittsburgh campus president. “As with our other programs, we maintain small class sizes and provide students with individualized attention from our faculty. We are pleased to offer this important, in-demand program to our students and the community we serve.”
