What You Should Know About Medical Assisting

Posted on: August 17, 2007

According to the U.S. Department of Labor, employment of medical assistants is expected to grow much faster than average for all occupations through 2014.  So if you’ve ever considered working in the medical field, you may want to consider becoming a Medical Assistant.

You may not know that Medical Assistants work in a variety of capacities within a medical office.  They can work in both the administrative side and in the medical side with patients.  They are able to perform these duties within many types of medical offices; including: chiropractors, optometrists, podiatrists, outpatient care centers, public and private educational services, other ambulatory health care services, employment services, and nursing care facilities.
