So You Failed. Big Deal.

Posted on: June 22, 2012

Mistakes will happen – to everyone, no matter who you are. The difference between success and failure is whether you let those mistakes stop you. Your dreams are too valuable. So here are some things to keep in mind whenever you have a setback:

  1. Set a lot of little goals. When you set smaller goals that you can achieve quickly, it’s easier to see how much progress you’re really making. And that can do wonders for your attitude.
  2. Find success stories. Find stories about people who overcame obstacles. Like this guy. Sometimes a little inspiration goes a long way.
  3. Learn from mistakes. Try never to make the same mistake twice. Pay attention to what you could do better and apply it the next time. You can learn more from one mistake than from 50 successes.
  4. Remember it’s a mistake—it’s not you. The mistake may have been foolish, but you are not. Don’t let a mistake define how you see yourself.

Don’t give up. You’re too strong for that.
