If you’re an Everest student, chances are good that you care about making a difference. And six students and three staff members from Everest University in Lakeland, Fla., proved it by raising more than $1,000 for the American Cancer Society in the Relay for Life.

The Relay for Life event is a 24-hour relay in which teams take turns walking around a track for 24 hours straight to raise money for cancer research, spread cancer awareness and celebrate survivors. It also is a way to remember those lost to the disease.

The six student ambassadors were chosen from the Lakeland campus for their leadership and academic performance. They also give support and counseling to other Everest students.

At Everest, we’re proud of the difference that our students make in the world—both as students and in their careers. If you’re not an Everest student, contact us today to discuss our many career training programs.
